“Viridity” Cascading Peridot Necklace
A circle and bar clasp gives way to six strands of tiny, faceted peridot beads culminating in an antique silver bell cap attached to three luscious grape-like clusters of smooth peridot beads. Another bell cap holds a cascade of eight strands of peridot streaming into smaller grape-like clusters and tiny silver beads, each tiny cluster ending in a silver bell cap beneath which dangles a large peridot briolette. Peridot is the stone of detachment which teaches us to let go of unprofitable thoughts. It bathes the mind and subtle body in a liquid green purifier which scours away the past and allows newness and viridity to reign. It is a necklace of which Hildegard of Bingen would have wholly approved.
